How To Bulk Upload Users
⚠️ Please ensure the email addresses of the users you are adding are active prior to following the steps below.
ℹ️ If you have a People Development membership, adding new users to The National College will add them automatically to People Development.
- Log in to your School Manager account.
- Click on ‘Admin’ shown in the top navigation.
- Click on ‘Manage Users’ in the left hand navigation.
- Click on the 'Add' button.
- Select ‘Bulk Upload Users’.
- Click on Download the template file.
- Open the download and fill in the details required.

- When you've added all your users, delete the example row 'Dave Smith' by right clicking on the row number and selecting 'Delete row'.
- Click ‘Upload CSV File,’ and select your completed file.
- Once the file has been processed:
- You will receive an email letting you know your users have been uploaded.
- You can then press our ‘Upload history’ button to see if this has been successful, if not – please press on errors and you can see any errors within your file, please amend these and upload again.
- Once uploaded, your users will automatically be sent an email prompting them to sign up and set a password.
- If your users do not receive an invitation email, please go to User Report and press 'Bulk Send Reminder.’
- Please do not use bulk upload to add parents accounts. Parents must sign up via the self-sign-up link which is available on your Manage Users page.
