Objectives: Why can't I edit my objective?

Objectives can be created in three ways: They can be created by:

1. Individuals (self-led)
2. Line Managers (manager-led)
3. Admins (admin-led / flood filled)

Whoever creates the objective has ownership and therefore editing rights. 

You can only edit an objective that you created for yourself (a self-led objective):

The only exception to this is in the case of an admin-led objective which is created on behalf of an individual user. Ownership (and therefore editing rights) is then handed over to the individual.

If you can't see Edit objective in the action panel to the right hand side of your objective, it means your line manager created the objective for you - they have ownership along with the editing rights. Get in touch with your line manager to discuss editing this objective.
