Introduction to Professional Development

The Professional Development membership provides up to date CPD, relevant to staff across your phase and setting. This guide gives a quick overview of some of the functionality within this membership. See our Helpdesk for guides on all functionality.

CPD Content:

We have various forms of content from webinars, podcasts and courses, to policies, templates and guidance documents. We even have guides for parents. You can browse this content in our library. You can also add internal CPD, or upload any CPD carried out externally.

Managing Users:

After adding your users those with admin permissions can access the User Report to gain an overview of engagement.

Task Lists:

CPD can be self assigned and worked through independently, or can be assigned to individuals or groups of staff. You can add content or tasks to your own Task List which forms a to do list with direct links to the contents and visible deadlines. Tasks can also be assigned by managers.

Learning Plans:

CPD can be added to a Learning Plan and assigned to staff. Assigning Learning Plans reduces the workload of individuals each having to locate the training themselves, but by viewing the Learning Plan Dashboard you can run a report to gain insight into progress, and send reminders to staff.

User Groups:

To assign a learning plan to more than one user, School Managers can set up a User Group, whilst School Group Managers can set up a group level User Group. A User Group allows you to group certain members of staff together who might have similar training requirements. Staff members can belong to multiple User Groups.
