How do I reset a password for a staff member?

If a user has forgotten their password, or needs to update their password, you can update this for them, or send them a link to reset it themselves

 

  • Log in to your School Manager account.
  • Click on ‘Admin’ shown on the landing page at the top to the left of your profile icon.
  • Click on 'Manage Users' in the left hand navigation. 
    ℹ️ If you do not see Manage Users, click on 'Professional Development' to make this visible. 
  • Click on ‘User report’ in the left hand navigation.
  • Locate the user in need of a password reset. You can use the search bar under the blue buttons to help you.
  • Once user has been found, click the three vertical dots to the right hand end of the row.
  • There are two ways to update a user's password:
    • 1. To send the user a link to reset their own password:
      • Click on the option 'Send Password Reset'
      • Once this has been selected the user will get an email link and from this link, they will now be able to rest their profile password. 
    • 2. To reset the password for the user:
      • Click on the 'View User Profile' option
      • Type the new password into the 'Password' field and the 'Confirm password' field
      • Click on the 'Save changes' button.
