The Governance Manager calendar can be used for 'school events' such as INSET days, Plays, Visits, Holidays, Performances etc. This can be helpful to keep Governors and Trustees informed.
All Calender Events in Governance Manager are required to be associated with a 'folder' - for board and committee meetings there are normally folders in GM specifically set up for this.
In the case of 'school events' (or anything of a general nature) a folder is still required - this can be at the 'top level' or located within another folder.
Note: This is a change to the system implemented in May 2023 as part of the enhanced meeting pack feature - please call the support desk who will be happy to explain the reasons behind this and to help set up a suitable 'events' folder.
If the event is created from the Calendar (Actions > New Event) then a folder must be selected. If the event is created from a folder then the folder is pre-populated.
Below is an example format that could be used - the name and location of the folder for such events is a local decision.
