What does user deactivation do?
Deactivating a user removes their access to the platform without deleting their account. This is ideal when staff leave a school or trust.
- The user will no longer be able to log in, however their account is not deleted.
- The user's progress and records are all retained.
- Since their user history remains visible, it can be included in reporting and audit logs.
- Deactivated users will not receive notifications or reminders.
- Deactivation differs from deleting a user. When a user is deleted their records are also removed.
ℹ️ Please note, deactivating a user in this way will not affect their account in People Development. If your school has a People Development membership you will need to remove the user from this platform too.
