What is Recurrence?

If staff are required to repeat training at regular intervals, you can set the content to recur so that individuals are prompted when it’s time to retake the learning.

  • Once the user has completed the CPD activity for the first time, the recurrence period will start from their completion date.

For example if a user completes the learning on 10th September 2026 and the recurrence period is yearly, they will be reminded to retake the learning by 10th September 2027.

  • Because the recurrence deadline is calculated from the individual's completion date, users assigned the same learning plan may have difference recurrence deadlines for the same content as they may have first completed the course on a different date.

  • 30 days before the recurrence deadline:

    • A task will automatically be added to their Task List

    • The status on the content within their Learning Plan will change from 'Complete' to 'In Renewal'.

  • Recurrence periods can be set for yearly, 2 years, 3 years, 4 years or 5 years. This is set by the Admin user when setting up the Learning Plan.

  • If the recurrence deadline is missed the status of the content changes from 'In Renewal' to 'Overdue'.
