Why can't staff see a policy I created?

If staff can't see a policy it may be because it is still in the process of being created, or the Approval or Reading team if selected are yet to complete this task.


  • Log into your School Manager account.
  • Click on ‘Admin’ shown on the landing page at the top to the left of your profile icon.
  • Search for the policy
  • Check the 'Policy status:

Policy Status - In Progress

  • The policy is still being worked on. If this is unexpected, it may be that the person who created the policy didn't click 'Publish'. 
  • Click on the 3 dots and select 'Edit':

  • Click through the policy using the 'Save and continue' buttons. On the final screen click on the 'Publish policy' button.
  • The policy status will now be updated to reflect the next stage. 


 Policy Status - 'Awaiting Approval' or 'Awaiting Reading'

  • The policy is waiting for other staff members to carry out one of these tasks.
  • You can send the Approval or Reading Team reminders to do this by clicking on the 3 dots and selecting 'View':

 

  • Scroll to the Policy Reading / Approval Team section and select 'Send reminders'

  • Upon confirmation of this action, the Approval / Reading Team will be sent a reminder to complete this task.
  • Once all team members have completed this task, the policy status will be updated to reflect the next stage.
