Why do I have to leave a review after completing a course?

Requiring feedback before certificate access is not intended to create friction, but to ensure the ongoing quality, relevance, and impact of our learning provision. Learner feedback is one of the most critical mechanisms we have to evaluate course effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and ensure that our content continues to meet the needs of professionals in practice.

Each year, all courses are reviewed and updated in preparation for the new academic year. A key criterion in that review process is the feedback provided by users at the end of the courses they complete. This insight directly informs decisions about content updates, usability improvements, and overall learner experience. We have already implemented a wide range of enhancements based on this feedback, leading to measurable improvements in both course quality and user experience.

Importantly, the feedback process is designed to be flexible and proportionate. It does not require extensive written commentary - some users choose to provide just a few words, while others offer more detailed and constructive insights. Both forms of feedback are valuable.

Where more detailed feedback is shared, it is carefully reviewed, analysed, and actioned as part of our continuous improvement processes.

Without consistent and representative feedback, we risk making decisions based on incomplete information, which can ultimately reduce the quality of future training for all users. By embedding feedback as a standard step at the point of completion, when the experience is still fresh,  we significantly improve both the accuracy and usefulness of content.

This approach ensures fairness and consistency across all learners, while helping us maintain the high standards expected of accredited and professionally aligned training.

Maintaining this requirement is therefore vital. It enables us to preserve a robust evidence base for continuous improvement and ensures we can continue to evolve and improve our provision in line with user needs and expectations.
